Smart Matches got it right... Now what?
Francisco Seixas
- Lukk
Hi there,

I just found a tree via Smart Matches that belongs to a distant cousin. I already have him on my tree, but on his tree he has a lot more information on his close family than I have on mine. Is there any way I can copy that information to my tree?

 Thanks,

Francisco

As far as I know, you would just need to copy the info manually on your tree.

When you build your tree online, you can ony copy the information manually at this time.

If you are using Family Tree Builder, and you are a Premium user,

you can use the Smart Match Merge feature in the program to automatically merge the information to your tree.

In the near future, we will make improvements to the online Smart Matches faeture as well.

The smart match feature gives you an option to ask the administrator to subscribe to that tree.  Has anyone does this and how do you verify if their information is correct.  Most of my matches are 5-10 generations back and come from other kids that a couple had that I didn't know about, I only knew the one child my family came from.  Any insight would be helpful, i am new at this
