Thanks for your research. I am so excited about this information. I am 52 and live in St Paul MN. Do you know much about Max Polachek. I have a coffee shop called Polly's Coffee Cove.
Is your hometown Providence? I have had Navy Reserve Training there serveral time in Newport RI.
Yup, I'm a native Rhode Islander! My aunt and uncle used to live adjacent to Quonset Point and we got to watch the Blue Angles practice and fly, up close and personal!! How long were you in the Navy for. I saw your picture, thanks for sharing it!! Are you still in the reserves? What did you do in the Navy?

HOw is the weather in Israel this time of year? Are the Polachek's in Israel related to the Polachek's in this country?
I was going to say don't ask questions unless you are sure you want to hear the answer! The weather has been gorgeous, sunny and very mild. But today it looks cold and like we are due for some serious rain. And I have to go out later :-(
There i a good chance that you are related to Polacheks here. If you are interested in pursuing it, I would suggest that you join JewishGen, register the name Polachek and see who else is researching the name. Be open to all of the variations in spelling; the name was originally spelled in the Hungarian way, Pollaczek, and there is no norm as to how it would have been changed.
You have been a busy girl, thanks so much for the contributions! Have you connected with the people that you've added or just found them by doing research?
Do you know that Zach was in Iraq?
Do me a favor please; there is a slight flaw wth this program in that it is very hard to see who all of the people are that have been added. Please tell me who you added to the tree so that I can add them to my offline program. It is very important to me to keep that up to date as that is my most accurate copy. Thanks!!
And I'm still waiting for pictures!!
Have a very wonderful 2010 Ann!
I can make a list if you wish.
I will send more of older relatives,
Your Kentucky cousin, Betty-Lou
We received Shaina's Wedding Invitation . . CONGRATULATIONS. . . unfortunately we won't be able to make it . . . will rsvp.
Love, Dad
Glad to see you made it to the site. You were just at the Marx family site; the Hochster, Lamm and Rosenblatt sites are also for your family! Hochster was the maiden name of Bertha Lamm's (Aaron Marx's wife) mother.
Everyone who is a member of the site (with just a handful of exceptions) are related. Some of them go to 6th cousins. I found a lot of second cousins of Grandma; you can see some pictures on the homepage of the Mordechai site; they are from WWII of some of her cousins escaping Germany.
The Hochster family started coming to America in the 1850s and Grandma was related to most of the first Jewish families of Cleveland. Particularly many of the most prestigious families of Cleveland.
Do you remember the name Wachenheimer? They were jewelers in Providence. The wife of Harry Wachenheimer was also a cousin of Gram. The Hochster family is a very fascinating family.
I also recently found the family of Aaron Marx's mother and have been communicting with cousins from all over the world! His mother's name was Diefenbach.
I hope you can maneuver through the site to read some of the stories about the families and various interesting family members, as well as look at some of the fascinating pictures.
Yes, imagine that, Shaina is getting married in August, then she has one semester left at Sacramento State which she will take 7 classes, and then she graduates. I just got my reservations to fly there on August 10th. We will send you some pictures from the wedding.
Have a happy Fourth of July. A friend just called a minute ago to say she will stop by to say hi, so I will go and get ready. Best to Nancy.
Love,
Linda
This is so exciting - I am Laurie Rubinstein Press, daughter of Miriam Rosenblatt Rubinstein. I have been looking at the info on my immediate family, and wonder if you can remove one name - Edward Scharf...he is my second daughter, Sherri's ex-husband, and there were no children, so he really isn't important in our list.
I look forward to reading all about our family. Wonder if anyone out there lives in CT or nearby? If so, I'd love to hear from you!
What is your relationship to Marjorie (Silverman) Brennan? She is married to my cousin, Stephen Brennan. Can I join your site? Thanks!

How are we related to Wendy Francis Lang. I found her on ancestory.com and wondered what the connection would be....?
